A big thank you!

The Friends of Charles Daley Park would like to thank everyone for their overwhelming support of the playground project.

More than 100 volunteers came out on Saturday, September 19th and worked tirelessly to make the day a HUGE success. It would not have been possible without the financial support of individuals and businesses whose generosity raised more than $55,000. We'd like to say a special thank you to Kool-Aid and Let Them Be Kids for their generous sponsorship and their amazing leadship.

Thank you to the Town of Lincoln who have given the Friends of Charles Daley Park continued support on park projects like the playground. Their employees worked extremely hard on the days leading up to the big build and again on build day. We appreciate it!

Thank you to the Reid family for allowing us to dedicate the new playground to Ralph Reid. It is an honour and a pleausre to meet a wonderful family who care very much about each other and about their community.

And last but not least, thank you to Laura Gibson for leading the Friends of Charles Daley Park through another successful project. We couldn't have done it without you!

It was a fabulous day and many more fabulous days will follow as a community and its children come to enjoy Charles Daley Park.

Build day is here!

Build day has finally arrived! We look forward to seeing all of our volunteers at the park. Don't forget to wear comfortable clothes. Bring along a warm layer or two as temperatures can be a little cooler close to the lake. If you have workboots and work gloves you should have those with you as well.

There will be a waiver for you to fill out and sign when you register. If you are on our e-mail list you will already have a copy of this waiver. Please fill it out...but don't sign it yet...and bring it with you. .

It promises to be a fun day!

See you soon.

Dot-mocracy at Charles Daley Park

The students at Maplegrove and Meadowvale schools helped us to design a fabulous new playground.

Visit us again soon to see their design choices.

About the Friends of Charles Daley Park

The Friends of Charles Daley Park is a volunteer organization which was formed in 2004 and is committed to revitalizing and promoting the park which is located in the Town of Lincoln.

The Friends with the help of the community, built a boardwalk along the waterfront portion of the central section of the park.
In cooperation with the Niagara Restoration Council native trees and shrubs have been planted throughout the park. We have also sold and installed 21 commemorative benches.

Our next project is to replace the outdated playground equipment with new equipment. With the help of the Kool-Aid program "Let Them Be Kids" award and the community, the desired outcome is to raise approximately $45,000 to purchase and install the new community playground. The Aware includes a 60/40 match opportunity for our fundraising efforts so your help goes even further!
